The Stinking Bishops – 63-71 Enmore Rd, Newtown

Is it a deli, is it a café or is it a restaurant? Well it’s a restaurant, but it’s all about the cheese, yes Cheese.

The Stinking Bishops is completely about the cheese, not your ordinary run of the mill cheese, but specialised cheeses from the best cheese makers in Australia and some of the finest cheese making regions in Europe.

The Stinking Bishops specialise in all things cheese creating an original dining experience matched with an extensive wine list.  They specialise in helping you curate your own amazing cheese boards from over 40 cheeses.

You can choose from 2, 3 or 4 cheese boards, and selections of cold meats and pickles and pair these with wines to compliment and then there are the expanded lunch and dinner menus offering cheese or meat boards, snacks and main courses.
If you like any of the cheeses you try, you can buy them directly from the cheese fridge as well. Offering a range of cured meats, light grazing meals, cheese inspired dishes as well as vegetarian options, salads and desserts, so it’s a restaurant with the added bonus deli attached.

The concept was meticulously planned ahead the opening in 2014 and since then the partners in The Stinking Bishops have maintained the core direction only making slight adjustments to better respond to the desires of their clientele. This has resulted in a destination restaurant for people seeking a unique opportunity to sample produce that is not readily found, even in fine dining establishments, in Sydney.

Make it your pre-dinner or pre-show snack destination, your full dining experience or drop by for the cheeseboard finish to your evening that you can’t find elsewhere.
