Helping local businesses to grow

CoWork Newtown is a business accelerator managed by the Newtown Precinct Business Association, that will help grow the capacity of local small to medium sized businesses.

We will do this by providing business mentoring services, affordable office space, access to information for local businesses and regular workshops and events.

Your partnership with us starts with a Free Business Analysis. This involves a free 1-2 hour session with our expert advisors who will provide you with a report on your business and recommendations on how to improve your management and performance.  

Based on your analysis, CoWork Newtown can then customise a partnership to suit your business. This package could include

  • Business mentoring from $150/month 
  • Desk spaces from $99/week
  • Securing one of our five private offices that can host from 2 to 12 people
  • Using our Boardroom, Training Room or Event Lounge to host meetings or events of up to 100 people
  • Connecting you with other local businesses  
  • Access to finance & capital services 
  • Workshops and training sessions tailored to your needs
  • A local hub for any questions relating to Doing Better Business in Newtown

There will be three options for local businesses to engage with us

  1. Free Workshops and Seminars
    • A free business analysis that will identify the components of your business that need a little help
    • We will also be hosting free monthly events based on helping you Do Better Business
  2. Office space from $99 per week
    • Casual office seating in our hot desks & lounges from $99/week
    • Permanent desk space from $125/week
    • Secure, private offices that can host up to 12 people starting at $370/week
    • Included in these prices are
      • Business Analysis
      • Monthly, face to face business mentoring based on your analysis
      • Business grade, fibre internet connection – Unlimited downloads
      • Basic office printing facilities
      • Access to our meeting rooms
      • Weekly workshops on how to grow your business
      • Access to business funding through government grants, Angel investing, business loans and Venture Capitalists 
      • Onsite printing and stationary facilities
      • A listing and content opportunities on our consumer facing website that will drive new business inquiry for you
    • Plus membership of the NPBA and NSW Business Chamber ‘Local Chamber Alliance’ program
  3. Face to face business coaching from $150 per month
    • Using the free business analysis we offer, our in-house business experts will
      • Analyse your strengths and weaknesses
      • Develop a customised mentoring program based on this analysis
      • Provide information and recommendations on how to make your business more sustainable and grow
    • Should you wish to work with our advisors on a continual basis, we customise a 3, 6 or 12 month package for you
      • Meet regularly to help you activate the program
      • Provide regular reports and updates on your progress
    • Plus membership of the NPBA and NSW Business Chamber ‘Local Chamber Alliance’ program

Our intention is not just to provide an office environment to work in, but to include the essential coaching services our local small businesses need to grow.  

‘We imagine that we would host some of these businesses for anywhere between 6 months to 2 years.’ Mark Ely, NPBA President. ‘By that time we would hope we have helped them grow to the point of employing more people, having their own or larger premises and have built an ongoing business they can rely on.’
