INFORMATION FOR PRODUCERS

THE YORK THEATRE
The largest theatre in the centre, the York has a seating capacity of 788 in a semi-circular, amphitheatre configuration featuring a thrust stage. Although the space is ideally suited to the presentation of theatre works, it can easily accommodate music, dance or concert style performances. With only 12 rows of seating from the back of the auditorium to the stage, the theatre offers an exceptional rapport between performers and audiences.

THE EVEREST THEATRE
The Everest Theatre was designed for the presentation of musical events and incorporates variable acoustic features to provide optimum sound quality. It has also been widely used for theatre and dance performances and includes a removable fore-stage that can vary the stage depth by over six metres and alter the capacity between 419 and 605 seats. It is also an ideal venue for conferences, seminars and film-screenings.

THE DOWNSTAIRS THEATRE
The Downstairs Theatre is a small informal studio-style theatre that holds 150 to 200 people. Ideal for theatre and dance performances, fixed raked seating can be supplemented by additional seating in front of the stage area. Affordable hiring rates make it an ideal venue for smaller companies to present new work.

THE SOUND LOUNGE
The Sound Lounge is an intimate, multi-functional venue with a capacity of 120 in caf?-style seating, a high quality sound system, fixed lighting grid and a small stage. The Sound Lounge has a fully licenced bar and offers light meals and pre-show snacks. It is the perfect place to enjoy live music, including Friday and Saturday night jazz presented by SIMA (Sydney Improvised Music Association).
