Legendary blues musician Robert Johnson lived fast and died young... Like Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Brian Jones, Kurt Cobain & Jim Morrison, Robert Johnson was just 27 years old when he died mysteriously in Greenwood Mississipi in 1938 leaving a musical legacy that shaped the face of modern music. Johnson's songs have been covered by ERIC CLAPTON, LED ZEPPELIN, ROLLING STONES, BOB DYLAN,CREAM to name but a few. Johnson's was a man who was so driven to succeed he reportedly sold his soul to the Devil at the Crossroads for a talent that was unequaled. Legend has it that Johnson gave his guitar to the devil at the Cross Roads in Mississippi and the Devil tuned his guitar and told Robert that he would be able to play anything, and that he could. Clapton describes Johnson body of work as 'A lifetimes work for any musician'. Most would agree.
